What is ExOSkeleton?
Paralysis and Musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) are considered one of the most common causes of chronic disability around the world. Symptoms are characterized by pain and discomfort, often interfering with simple daily life activities due to the limitation of motion and mobility. So far, the treatment is planned accordingly with the specific diagnosis type. Based on high healthcare systems costs and long-term rehabilitation sessions, medication and physical exercise are usually prescribed although complete motor recovery cannot be always guaranteed.

Why ExOSkeleton?
Sources indicate the current lifetime cost of servicing someone with paralysis through traditional health care means is $1 – 3.5 million. By comparison, the cost of providing that same person with an ExoSuit or ExoSkeleton is between $50k – $250k up front or via financing; plus only a few thousand per year on personal and hardware maintenance.
Don’t forget the human cost – in traditional methods we are doing the minimum to achieve personal autonomy and well-being for paralyzed people; versus the benefits talked about above.

Being mobile and more independent in an ExOSuit, ExOSkelton or similar can transform the lives of millions of people globally by reducing personal suffering from physical pain, mental distress, reduced productivity and community contribution.
ExoBot: the newest technology supporting and enhancing physical motion overcoming motor dysfunction.
ExoBot is a mobile App wirelessly connected with an exoskeleton to support physical rehabilitation in order to regain normal movement, posture, flexibility, and mobility. With this project proposal, we aim to provide a novel rehabilitation solution designed for the guidance and supervision of professionals. Looking at innovative perspectives, ExoBot would enable patients to regain their mobility by providing the optimal solution to an unsolved clinical problem.
